Phoenix is a 2D puzzle/platformer concept developed in 48 hours for the January 2012 Global Game Jam. The player can play in either the past or the future, and swap time periods on the fly in order to defeat enemies and overcome obstacles.
The theme for the game jam was the Ouroboros, so we took the theme of “birth and rebirth” into consideration in designing the game. The game was designed in a team of 3. Development responsibilities included collisions, aiming, enemies, and some artwork.
